Mar. 9--FORGET TECH HOMELAND SECURITY IS HOT: As the saying goes, when you've got lemons, make lemonade.
That's the feeling at Enterprise Florida, the state's economic-development agency. War jitters and concerns about the economy have slowed the group's primary focus -- helping technology and manufacturing companies move or expand here.
So, chief Darrell Kelley is turning attentions to another industry he hopes to lure -- chiefly, homeland security businesses.
He's got some blue-sky plans, including the creation of a national center for disaster preparedness that would assist groups and businesses all over the country.
