Aquila Seeks More Time to Submit Data to Kansas Regulators.

Mar. 11--Aquila Inc. is seeking a two-week extension in submitting information recently requested by state regulators.

The Kansas Corporation Commission last week ordered the company to submit information about its financial condition to help regulators determine Aquila's ability to provide utility service to 165,000 Kansas customers.

Much of the data is due April 10. But regulators also told the company to submit information by Wednesday about its corporate structure and to provide any comments about prohibiting the pledging of utility assets as collateral until the commission completes its investigation.
