UnumProvident's Stock Rises as Potential Buyers Are Named.

Mar. 13--UnumProvident Corp., stock rose Wednesday after two days of steep declines as one analyst floated the names of potential buyers if the firm runs out of options to raise capital.
UnumProvident shares rebounded to $6.52 per share Wednesday, up 9.21 percent, after dropping nearly 53 percent earlier in the week.
American International Group and billionaire Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway were cited as potential buyers by Banc of America Securities analyst Jason Zucker in a report to investors about UnumProvident.
