Now That War Has Begun, Support for U.S. Troops Crosses Party Lines.

Mar. 20--WASHINGTON--Members of Congress expressed concern for American troops but resolve that the war now under way in Iraq will signal the final days of Saddam Hussein's regime.

"Like the invasion of Normandy, the invasion to liberate a people from a dictator and to free the world from a murderous regime has been commenced today," said Rep. Tom Feeney, R-Oviedo. "Godspeed to our men and women in hoping for an early, successful and safe conclusion. We are freeing a country from a tyrant. We are neutering a really evil man who wanted to destroy freedom throughout the world."

Sen. Bill Nelson, a Florida Democrat, echoed those sentiments.
