Investor Buzz Grows over Paramus, N.J.-Based Hudson City Bancorp.

Mar. 25--When will Paramus-based Hudson City Bancorp take the big "second step" to become completely publicly traded? That's what some bank stock speculators who post messages in a Yahoo! investors' chat room want to know.
The buzz is understandable.
In Hudson City's initial public offering three years ago, 47 percent of the company was sold to the public and the company raised more than half a billion dollars.
Since the initial offering in mid-1999 Hudson City shareholders -- including many of the bank's depositors who bought in at the $10 per share initial price -- have seen their investments more than triple in value through a bear market....
