Movie Distribution Firm Taps Asian Content Niche.

Mar. 26--Although Thailand's motion picture market is dominated by American movies, there is still a niche for Asian movies, according to Wichien Koopthanarong, managing director of Amigo Studio Co.
Amigo, a major distributor of Chinese martial-arts series, Korean soap operas and Japanese animation films in the form of VCDs and DVDs, earned hundreds of millions of baht annually, Mr Wichien said, but declined to give exact figures.
