Irrigation Equipment Sales Lift Omaha, Neb.-Based Firm.

Mar. 28--Lindsay Manufacturing Co., given a boost by strong sales of its irrigation equipment, reported a 25.2 percent increase in second-quarter earnings on an 18.3 percent increase in revenue over year-earlier levels.

The Omaha-based company, with its main manufacturing facilities in Lindsay, Neb., said it had net income of nearly $5 million, or 42 cents a share, in the three months that ended Feb. 28.

That compared with net earnings of nearly $4 million, or 33 cents a share, for the same period last year. Revenue rose to $48.1 million.
