Thai Entertainment Firm to Cut DVD Prices.

Apr. 2--RS Promotion Plc, the country's second largest entertainment firm, plans to cut the retail price of its DVDs to boost sales, a move that would be a first for a local recording company.
The company, which currently charges 200 baht per DVD, did not disclose the extent of the price cut. It did however say there were no changes in its plans to list on the stock exchange next month despite recent market jitters over the war in Iraq and the Sars outbreak.
DVDs of concert recordings would be the first to be reduced in price followed later by music albums, said chief executive Surachai Chetchotisak.
