Apr. 2--SONICBLUE DEAL FALLS APART: A deal to sell its Rio portable audio and Replay TV systems to Japan's D&M Holdings Inc. has fallen through for bankrupt SonicBlue, according to a Reuters news service report.

Last month, SonicBlue filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and hoped to raise $40 million from the sale. But negotiations failed to produce a final agreement.

The Rio audio device was once made in Vancouver.
