Job Security Tops Worries as Weyerhaeuser CEO Tours Springfield, Ore., Plant.

Apr. 3--SPRINGFIELD, Ore.--Visiting Weyerhaeuser Co. operations in Lane County on Tuesday and Wednesday, company CEO Steve Rogel heard the same question from just about every worker he ran across.

"They all asked, 'What about about my plant, what's going to happen with my plant?'a" Rogel said Wednesday afternoon.

It's been about a year since the Federal Way, Wash.-based timber giant completed its $8 billion takeover of Portland-based Willamette Industries Inc.
