New California State Polytechnic University President Arrives July 31.

Apr. 7--The new president of California State Polytechnic University, Pomona will begin his job July 31, replacing Bob Suzuki, who will retire after 12 years at the school's helm and 22 years in the Cal State system.
California State University trustees March 13, selected Michael Ortiz, provost and vice president of academic affairs at California State University, Fresno, to serve as Cal Poly Pomona's fifth president.
Ortiz holds a doctorate in early childhood special education and a master's degree in special education. He held academic and administrative positions at the University of Southern Colorado and at Appalachian State University....
