Thai Customs Department Introduces E-Manifest System.

Apr. 10--To pave the way for providing fully virtual customs services, the Customs Department has introduced the latest e-manifest system for shipping companies.
Starting from April 1, shippers processing imports through the Customs Department's head office were enticed to use the e-manifest service. Other customs offices nationwide will begin implementing the new system for shipping importers by June 1.
Currently, shipping and air freight imports can be processed through the Internet via e-manifest, e-declaration, and e-payment systems. But not many shipping companies have applied to use them.
