Global Architecture Firm Moving Tulsa, Okla., Office Downtown.

Apr. 10--A global architecture and engineering firm is moving its Tulsa office downtown to raise its local profile, the company's chief executive officer says.

Atkins Americas Inc. has 33 offices around the country, the largest of which is located in south Tulsa at the CityPlex Towers. Next month, the 180-employee office will move to Williams Center Tower I, at 1 W. Third St.

"We think we need to relocate so we can provide the breadth of our company to business partners downtown and increase our profile," said Atkins CEO Paul Wood. "It's a statement to the city that we want to be the premier provider to the city."
