Nevada Governor Hopes to Resolve Problems at Financial Institutions Division.

Apr. 25--Gov. Kenny Guinn's top lawyer on Thursday promised the governor will "straighten ... out" problems at the state Financial Institutions Division after a district judge complained the agency ignored allegations about violations at a mortgage brokerage.
Keith Monroe, general counsel to the governor, made the promise after state District Judge Sally Loehrer lambasted the division for "blowing off" serious complaints from developer Howard Bulloch about alleged violations at Vestin Group. Vestin uses investor funds to make loans to developers and home builders.
