Oracle Puts Priority on Security at Austin, Texas, Data Center.

Apr. 28--Oracle Corp.'s Austin computer data center is big, secure, resilient, robust, cost-effective and very private.
The giant software company bought an unfinished data center on North Lamar Boulevard last summer from AT&T Corp. and quickly set about beefing up security, adding to the communications system and making doubly sure that the center's operations are never interrupted.
"We've notched it up from what AT&T had," said Mitchell McGovern, operations vice president for Oracle's services business.
The center has enough room, enough electrical power and enough communications capacity to handle several thousand high-powered servers....
