May 2--The newest Toyota sport utility on the market also is absolutely one of the best.
It's the completely redesigned 2003 4Runner, the latest generation of the vehicle that has been the stalwart of the Toyota SUV lineup since it was introduced in the early 1980s.
For 2003, the 4Runner rides on an entirely new chassis, and it also comes with its first V-8 engine.
I said earlier that I was surprised that Toyota decided to re-do the 4Runner rather than dropping it from the lineup altogether. I had thought that Toyota would dump the 4Runner once the company introduced the car-based, midsize Highlander SUV nearly two years ago, but...
