Shawnee, Okla.-Based Tube Plant Workers to Join Union.

May 6--Workers in the engineering division of Wolverine Tube Inc. in Shawnee have voted to join the labor union United Brotherhood of Carpenters' Arkansas Regional Council.
The 32-22 vote came last week, said Robert Millar, the organizing director for the Arkansas Regional Council in Oklahoma City.
He said the organizing drive to seek union representation started 10 to 12 weeks ago when workers brought safety issues and changing work role concerns to the council.
