Lexus Models Help Toyota Top J.D. Power Initial Quality Survey.

May 7--WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif.--The luxury car line Lexus helped Toyota Motor Sales stay atop the J.D. Power and Associates' Initial Quality Survey, released Tuesday, but the automaker slipped from its performance last year.
The Torrance-based manufacturer ranked highest in the survey, winning six of the 16 categories and enjoying the fewest problems in the industry. Its Lexus brand dominated the luxury segment, but its Toyotas dropped several categories, including the truck categories it cleaned up in last year.
