May 8--White Wave Inc., a subsidiary of Dallas-based Dean Foods Co., intends to develop a plant in West Jacksonville to process soy beans for use by sister company and industrial neighbor, Morningstar Foods.
The Morningstar plant had been known as Ryan Food Co. LLC, but the name changed in January. It already produces milk and cream products.
Late last year, Ryan Foods, as part of Morningstar, landed a deal to produce White Wave's Silk soymilk product, with the help of government incentives.
