Chicago Area's White Hen Minimart Chain Lands on Block.

May 8--New York financier Leon Black is cutting his losses on Clark Retail Enterprises Inc., putting all of its assets up for sale, including its profitable White Hen Pantry convenience-store brand.
Though its White Hen subsidiary was not part of Oak Brook-based Clark's Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing last year, the company has hired investment bank William Blair & Co. to handle the sale, according to court documents. White Hen is the Chicago area's largest and best-known convenience-store chain.
And the company confirmed that it is looking for another adviser to manage the sale of Clark's remaining gasoline and convenience stores, and it will talk to firms looking at single-site...
