Palm Beach County, Fla., Residential Construction Continues Strong.

Jun. 24--Residential construction in Palm Beach County continues to defy a severe land shortage, slow job growth and an uncertain economy, new studies show.
Contracts for future residential construction and the number of homes that builders actually broke ground on both are ahead of last year's record-breaking pace, the reports show.
For the first five months of this year, Palm Beach County builders have signed residential construction contracts worth $973 million -- a 5 percent gain over last year, according to the Dodge Reports, which tracks the construction industry nationwide.
