Students Get Taste of College, Business at Seattle University Institute.

Jun. 25--For many high-school students, sitting in a classroom learning about finance and business wouldn't be the ideal way to spend the lazy days of summer.

But for 18 teenagers participating in the Summer Business Institute at Seattle University, discussing Martha Stewart's indictment and learning about the stock and bond markets were just as interesting as a day on the beach.

Sponsored by the university's Albers School of Business and Economics, the four-day program gives college-bound minority students a glimpse of university life and an overview of business and economics degrees.
