Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine Sue EPA over Carbon Dioxide.

Jun. 5--WASHINGTON--Connecticut and two other New England states sued the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Wednesday, claiming it has failed to protect the public's health by not controlling carbon dioxide, considered a main contributor to global warming.

In a complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Hartford, the attorneys general for Connecticut, Massachusetts and Maine say that EPA Administrator Christie Whitman is violating the Clean Air Act. They are seeking to force her to add carbon dioxide to the list of federally regulated air pollutants.
