Legislators Question Role of Boca Raton, Fla.-Based Statistical Services Group.

Jun. 8--This year in the Florida Legislature, a bright spotlight shone on the National Council on Compensation Insurance, the Boca Raton-based statistical services organization.
As lawmakers delved into the complicated world of workers' compensation insurance, many learned for the first time that NCCI is the state's official statistical agent in Workers' Compensation matters.
That's not unusual. NCCI, a not-for-profit company with about $150 million in revenue and 800 employees, is the only such service in the United States, and it has contracts with nearly 40 other state governments.
