Detroit's Henry Ford Museum A Re-Energized Walk through History.

Jun. 8--"History is bunk." -- Henry Ford

The self-made man who blazed his path on his own terms wasn't saying that all history is bunk.

Given Ford's deep commitment to preserve memories of great American inventors like Thomas Edison, the Wright Brothers and George Washington Carver, a more accurate reflection of his thinking might be: "History is the trail blazed by great inventors."

On Tuesday, the historically accurate 90-acre outdoor village in Dearborn created by Ford 75 years ago will make -- and possibly blaze -- history on its own terms.
