Stockholders to Sell 1.2 Million Shares of Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

Jun. 10--Stockholders of Chicago Mercantile Exchange Holdings Inc. are preparing to sell 1.22 million shares, the largest sale of stock since shares in the exchange went public in December.
The sale won't benefit the exchange directly. Instead, the shares of Class A common stock are being sold to five banks, which will then resell them to other investors.
Chicago Mercantile Exchange Holdings is the parent company of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, the nation's largest futures market.
Plans for the stock sale were filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission Monday. After the sale, the Merc's holding company will have 32.7 million shares outstanding,...
