San Antonio-Based Refiner Enters San Bernardino, Calif.-Area Gas Market.

Jun. 13--Valero gas stations are cropping up all over California, and the prices just might give Arco a run for its money.
The stations -- including locations in Ontario and Pomona -- are owned by Valero Energy Corp., a Fortune 500 refining company based in San Antonio.
"We're going through and rebranding the stations we purchased through acquisitions," Valero spokeswoman Denise Brady explained.
"Valero acquired Ultramar Diamond Shamrock (another refining company) in January 2000, and that also includes Beacon gas stations."
