Verizon Wireless Adds Duluth, Minn., Digital Cell Site Before Marathon.

Jun. 16--Verizon Wireless has added a new digital cell site in downtown Duluth, Minn., that will enhance wireless coverage for Grandma's Marathon this coming weekend.
Company officials said that during last year's marathon weekend, traffic on the cell site increased 61 percent from normal weekend traffic.
Verizon Wireless provides cell phones for race officials to track marathon leaders along the race route and a wireless "phone home tent" in Canal Park for race participants to call friends and family.
