SAP Seeks to Profit from Takeover Turmoil in Business Software Industry.

Jun. 18--In newspaper ads and in calls to customers of its two largest rivals, business-software-maker SAP AG has reacted quickly in an attempt to capitalize on the bitter takeover struggle between Oracle Corp. and PeopleSoft Inc.
Analysts say uncertainty resulting from Oracle's hostile bid for PeopleSoft, and from PeopleSoft's bid to acquire competitor J.D. Edwards & Co., could be a boon to SAP, a German company that has its North American headquarters in Newtown Square.
"It's a great time to be SAP," said Joshua Greenbaum, principal of Enterprise Applications Consulting in Daly City, Calif.
