Thai Legislator Vows to Wrest Back Control of Hospital Group.

Jun. 25--Democrat MP Arthit Ourairat said he was committed to regaining control of the Phyathai Group of Hospitals following his recent announcement that he planned to leave politics.

Prasit Patana, the operator of Phyathai Group, entered court-supervised business rehabilitation in 2001 to restructure 13 billion baht in debt. The plan administrator is PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Dr Arthit said a petition challenging PricewaterhouseCoopers was still before the Central Bankruptcy Court. A hearing is scheduled on July 18.
