Qwest to Aggressively Market New Minnesota Long-Distance Service.

Jun. 27--Qwest Communications International won federal approval Thursday to begin selling long-distance telephone service in Minnesota, and signaled immediately that it will aggressively go after its competitors.

Minnesota residential and small-business phone users can expect to be hit with a marketing blitz for their long-distance dollars in a few weeks, provided Qwest gets an operating certificate from the state Public Utilities Commission.
