Audivox Buys Additional Office Space as It Eyes Further Expansion.

Jul. 1--Audiovox Corp., with an eye on expansion, has purchased a building next to its Hauppauge head...uarters for $3.48 million.
The 40,000-s...uare-foot building at 180 Marcus Blvd. can be enlarged to 60,000 s...uare feet, the consumer electronics company said in announcing the deal Friday. Audiovox expects to move in later this year after renovations are completed.
Audiovox leases an 85,000-s...uare-foot building at 150 Marcus Blvd. for its head...uarters from the company's principals. It will retain that building. Audiovox has more than half of its 985 employees in Hauppauge.
