Jul. 2--"Sun, Sea, Sand and Surgery" could be the slogan for Phuket today. It aptly sums up the growing trend among foreign visitors to combine a relaxing vacation on Phuket -- "the Pearl of Asia" -- with medical treatment.
Even better, the price is difficult to beat.
Andrea Kotas, 39, had cosmetic surgery on her breasts at Bangkok Phuket Hospital last March and was very pleased with the results. Not to mention the price -- at 100,000 baht, three times lower than in her home country of Switzerland.
