Military Consolidation Proposal Worries Virginia Beach, Va., Workers.

Jul. 3--A Pentagon proposal to consolidate the military's exchanges into a single system has some of the estimated 1,000 people who work for the Navy Exchange in Virginia Beach worried about their jobs.

Employees will have a chance to air their concerns today during an all-hands forum at the Navy Exchange Service Command, or NEXCOM, head...uarters at 3280 Virginia Beach Blvd. The meeting will be run by Charles S. Abell, principal deputy undersecretary of defense for personnel and readiness and John Molino, deputy undersecretary of defense for military community and family policy.
