Burlington, N.C., Area to Join Greensboro Statistical Area.

Jul. 2--Burlington and Alamance County will join a Triad-based statistical area in late September, according to an official in the White House budget office. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Tuesday that the county would fuse with the Greensboro/Winston-Salem/High Point Combined Statistical Area (CSA). The statement ends a three-week inclusion campaign by local politicians, business advocates and hospital administrators. "Of course, we're delighted," Tom Ryan, president of Alamance Regional Medical Center, said Tuesday evening.
