Save Mart Supermarkets Names New President-Chief Operating Officer.

Jul. 9--Save Mart Supermarkets has named industry veteran Bob Spengler president and chief operating officer.
Spengler, formerly vice president of Save Mart's FoodMaxx Division, has 45 years of experience in the grocery business, including 17 with Save Mart. The creation of the new position filled by Spengler doesn't mean Save Mart Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Bob Piccinini will be any less involved in the company, said Alicia Rockwell, a Save Mart spokeswoman.
