Lawyers for Las Vegas Resort Say Sale of Property Is Proceeding as Planned.

Jul. 9--Aladdin lawyers said Tuesday that the property's sales process is proceeding according to plan after a bankruptcy court hearing that appeared to pave the way for a sale and a renaming of the property.
"Everything's going smoothly," Gordon said after U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Clive Jones approved a routine revision to Aladdin's disclosure statement and set an Aug. 29 deadline for final confirmation of the reorganization plan.
Aladdin lawyers and creditors' representatives also agreed in the hearing to schedule another hearing on Aug. 5 to consider a proposed settlement agreement between the mega resort and Trizec Properties, the owner of the Desert...
