Jul. 10--MIDDLETOWN, Ohio--North America's largest private foods distributor is establishing a foothold in Middletown.
Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Gordon Food Service is opening a "marketplace" store on Towne Boulevard north of Ohio 122, probably in the late fall, company spokeswoman Marianne Manderfield said Wednesday.
The cash-and-carry store will be open to the public and will not re...uire a membership fee, Manderfield said.
But the store will not be just another grocery, she said.
Gordon serves commercial restaurants, hospitals, nursing homes and schools with "restaurant-...uality" food and larger packages that larger customers and events...
