Pratt & Whitney Jobs Focus of Connecticut Meeting.

Jul. 12--Members of Connecticut's congressional delegation and representatives of the Machinists union will confer Monday about ways to preserve jobs in Connecticut at the jet engine maker Pratt & Whitney.
The meeting comes in response to Pratt's announcement in April that it could cut as many as 180 jobs by outsourcing or sending work to its plants overseas.
Among those scheduled to attend the Monday meeting in North Haven are union leaders, U.S. Sen. Christopher Dodd; Rep. John Larson, D-1st District; Rep. Rosa DeLauro, D-3rd District; and an aide to Rep. Rob Simmons, R-2nd District.
