Jul. 24--Federal regulators said yesterday that Sempra Energy and 10 other companies accused of reporting false natural gas prices had agreed to discipline the employees involved and establish a code of conduct for reporting prices.

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission also set voluntary guidelines for all companies reporting natural gas transaction prices and assured them they will not be subject to penalties because of inadvertent errors.
