Loews Pushes Plan for 16-Screen Paramus, N.J., Theater.

Jul. 24--PARAMUS, N.J.--The president of Loews theaters expects 25,000 to 35,000 customers on a "good" weekend at the proposed 16-screen movie theater at Garden State Plaza.

On a slow weekend, he expects 15,000 to 21,000.

The executive says that if the theater is approved by the Paramus Planning Board, the company would close its 10-screen cinema on Route 4.

Garden State Plaza officials have stated that the three-screen theater already at the mall would be razed if the Loews project is approved.
