Minnesota-Based Auto Parts Maker Seeks More Workers for Britton, N.D., Plant.

Jul. 26--In sharp contrast to all the companies downsizing or struggling to keep heads above water in a sluggish economy, Horton is looking for more workers at its Britton plant.

"We are in a massive hiring mode right now," said Denise Wieker, human resources manager at the Britton facility, where 118 work full time and 35 serve as temporary employees.

At the beginning of the hiring surge this summer, Horton was looking for 28 new full-time workers. Nineteen of the permanent positions have been filled, leaving nine openings as of late Thursday, Wieker said.
