Japan Airlines to Complete Boarding Procedures by Cell Phone.

Jul. 28--TOKYO--Japan Airlines System Corp. said Monday it will launch a service on Thursday to sell domestic flight tickets and complete boarding procedures for orders placed by mobile phone.

The holding company of Japan Airlines and Japan Air System has tied up with C&S Co., operator of the Circle K and Sunks convenience store chains, for the new service.

The service is the first cell phone-based check-in system, Japan Airlines System said.

Users of the service will receive necessary numbers and barcodes through their cell phones after placing orders and make cash payments at a convenience store of the chain. They will receive processed tickets after an...
