Like Competitor Home Depot, Ace Hardware Expands Presence in Mexico.

Aug. 16--Ace Hardware is expanding its presence in Mexico, where Home Depot ...uickly has established itself as the No. 1 home improvement retailer.
Ace, based in Oak Brook, Ill., said this week it will increase its Mexican presence through a strategic alliance with the parent of Practico Home Center, a chain with 30 stores in the country. Ace has 28 retailers that operate 84 Ace outlets in Mexico.
Home Depot also is expanding in Mexico, where home improvement is a $12.5 billion industry.
