Hamilton, Ohio, Painting Business Works on Costly Fixes to EPA Violations.

Aug. 14--HAMILTON, Ohio--Since its move to the new Hanover Street location last year, the Butler County Sheriff's Office has been dealing with a pesky problem caused by its neighbor next door -- paint.

Paint over-spray from Trans-Acc Inc., a powder-coating company at 845 East Ave., has coated dozens of cruisers with tiny, hard-to-remove paint speckles, officials said.

The situation has resulted in Ohio Environmental Protection Agency sanctions against Trans-Acc, prompting the business to pay for some clean up and install $85,000 in e...uipment to fix the problem, said plant manager Mike Sambiago.
