Arrow International CEO Gives $6.8 Million to Expand College in Reading, Pa.

Aug. 19--Marlin J. Miller Jr. surveys the blacktop expanse north of the Penn Street Bridge and sees Berks County's new informational crossroads -- the place where technical, educational and artistic ideas will intersect.
Miller, president and chief executive officer of Bern Township-based Arrow International Inc., believes in this informational hub and has backed it up with a $6.8 million pledge to start off the Reading Area Community College's expansion project.
Miller's gift, the largest ever to a local college, will be spent on a $13.6 million, 500-seat auditorium. The plans also provide for a $10 million training and technology center.
