Minneapolis-Based Thrivent Financial Co-Produces Film about Martin Luther.

Aug. 26--Can the life of religious reformer Martin Luther be the makings of a blockbuster movie?
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, which has co-produced a feature-length film about Luther, hopes so.
"Luther" will be released in at least 300 movie theaters nationwide, including 10 in the Twin Cities, on Sept. 26.
This is a big-screen movie with Hollywood stars who'll play to a global audience. Actor Joseph Fiennes, who also starred in period films "Elizabeth" and "Shakespeare in Love," leads a cast that includes Alfred Molina and two-time Oscar-winner Peter Ustinov.
