Thai DVD Supplier Cranks Up Growth Forecast to 40 Percent.

Aug. 27--CVD Entertainment Plc, the country's largest VCD and DVD supplier, has revised its sales growth forecast upward this year to 40 percent, from 10 percent previously, due to robust business growth from box-office hit movies and the government's crackdown on piracy.
The company said its total sales would likely reach between 1.1 billion and 1.2 billion baht this year, up from 700 million baht last year.
Of the total sales, more than 98 percent will come from movies.
Managing director Padet Hongfa said that in the second half of this year Hollywood movies in VCD and DVD formats due for release included X-Men 2, Terminator 3 and Pirates...
