Thailand Consumer Technology Sales Put at 123 Billion Baht.

Aug. 28--The value of the consumer technology market in Thailand is expected to reach 123.8 billion baht this year, driven by mobile phones, according to the market research firm GFK.
Mobile phone sales are expected to exceed 50 billion baht, and increase of 41 percent year-on-year in value, with unit sales up 21 percent, it said.
Driving up sales are new features such as colour screens, polyphonic ringtones and gaming, while a high penetration rate has made handsets essential for Thai consumers.
