U.S. Senate Energy Bill Would Aid Plan for Lancaster, Pa., Ethanol Plant.

Aug. 2--The U.S. Senate has given the ethanol plant proposed along the Sus...uehanna River in Conoy Township a boost.
The Senate Thursday approved an energy bill aimed at doubling the country's use of renewable fuels such as ethanol by 2012.
If a similar, final version of the bill is approved by the House and becomes law, demand for the gasoline additive could increase for years to come.
York County-based Penn-Mar Ethanol aims to build an $80 million plant on 65 acres next to the Lancaster County incinerator next year to serve some of that market.
